To obtain an AV Peer-Review rating an attorney must be reviewed objectively by colleges including other bar member attorneys and members of the judiciary. Reviewers are asked to assess their colleagues’ general ethical standards and legal ability in a specific area of practice.
In addition the reviewes must rate the legal abilities of the attorney on a scale created by Martindale-Hubble, the nations most prestigious legal directory founded in 1868. The legal performance is reviewed by rating 5 different measures:
